Whatever your story is;

I’m here to support it. I’m here to celebrate it.

Birth Package

As your doula, my work is to understand your family dynamics and hopes. We gather twice (2) before labor and our sessions are tailored to your needs - whether that’s childbirth education, discussion of pain management techniques, working through fears or ways to create a strong bond for partners and baby(s). I also include a spot in my Birth Preferences creation workshop where you’ll meet other parents and create your BP templates for labor day. As we get closer, I am on call for you. When labor begins, I either meet you at your home to help support with pain management and early labor, or I can meet you at your place of birth when you are ready for me. I reside by your side until baby arrives and your family feels comfortable and safe. I am honored to follow up with my families for (1) one visit to support with lactation questions, healing and emotional support.

Prenatal Support, Advocacy and Education.

Creating an environment where you feel nurtured, heard and respected is most important in our work together. Whether this is your first, or fifth pregnancy; you’re adopting or working with a surrogate; you’re wanting support through a miscarriage or an abortion; whatever phase of family-building you are embarking on, you deserve to be supported, held and heard.

Prenatal (adj):

*reminder that birth comes in all forms, not just the physical act of birthing a baby

Birth Support, Advocacy and Education..

There are so many options when it comes to labor and birth. It is my job as a full-spectrum doula to ensure you are aware of each choice and what they entail, then allow you the space to make your own educated decisions. Once those decisions are made, I’m there to support you and find a team that does the same.

Day of support looks so different for everyone, and I love being able to shift with your needs as your time comes.

Postpartum Support, Advocacy and Education...

A 6 week checkup is not enough, bottom line. Postpartum is more than a body healing and a check in on the baby. It’s a new family, it’s a mental shift, it’s hormones, it’s new roles, it’s everything. We’ll work to assess your needs as you roll into your new space, and find ways you can be supported alongside your babe and your partners.

We are extremely lucky to have access to a plethora of support in LA and part of our work is making sure you have access to whatever you need. Ensuring a family dynamic that thrives together is my ultimate goal as a doula.

Love from our work <3

“I loved that we never felt rushed, every time <partner> and I would go off on a tangent & apologize, you went out of your way to say how much you appreciated us being open, honest and raw with you.  It made me feel so comforted and we understood and that you were there to support us as a whole, not just through waters breaking and contractions.”

“You had a perfect balance of saying exactly what I needed to hear when I needed to hear it and you had a perfect way of reminding me to trust my body.”

“You were a godsend and absolutely made for this type of role.  You were so supportive throughout and truly brought out inner strength and calmness that was so needed during this wild ride.  I was terrified of the labor process and you helped me calm those fears and have an absolutely amazing birth.”

-Natalie E.

My first labor and birth experience was less than ideal. Although I came out of it feeling supported and was healthy and happy overall, I really wanted something different the second time around. I wanted a “redemption” birth. As a doula myself, the most important thing for me was to find someone that I trusted, vibed with, and that I could feel truly cared. I feel so lucky that things worked out the way they did because I couldn’t have been happier with having Sam as my Doula. She was extremely tuned in to my needs, she always said the things that I really needed to hear…even if it was uncomfortable, and most of all she LISTENED. She just listened to me talk and talk and talk about all the things that were consuming my mind. After our prenatal visits my husband was also excited to work with Sam and felt super comfortable with her. When the day came things progressed quickly but Sam provided the type of energy that I needed. There were times I just wanted a hug. I cried in her arms as we headed to the hospital feeling both excited and nervous. I felt a sense of relief knowing she was with me. I couldn’t be happier with my experience. I had the un-medicated birth I dreamed of and felt supported all the way through. I would recommend Sam to anyone. I just love her and her spirit.
